The Very Good Home Company
Service Guarantee Terms & Conditions
Effective date: March 3, 2026
These Service Guarantee Terms & Conditions (“Guarantee Terms”) govern the guarantees offered by The Very Good Home Company (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) in connection with insulation installation and related home energy services (“Services”). These Guarantee Terms supplement, and are subject to, any signed service agreement, work order, or contract between you and the Company. In the event of a conflict between these Guarantee Terms and a signed service agreement, the signed service agreement will control.
By purchasing Services from us, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to these Guarantee Terms. These guarantees apply only to residential customers in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area who have purchased and received the Company’s full-service insulation package, unless otherwise specified in writing.
1. 20% Energy Savings Guarantee
1.1 What We Guarantee
We guarantee that you will see a minimum twenty percent (20%) reduction in your heating and cooling energy costs within twelve (12) months of service completion, as compared to the Baseline Period defined below.
1.2 Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this guarantee, all of the following conditions must be met:
- You must have purchased and received the Company’s full-service insulation package, including attic insulation to the recommended R-value specified in your service agreement.
- Your property must have had a pre-service energy assessment or inspection conducted or approved by the Company, establishing a verifiable baseline.
- You must provide copies of your energy bills for the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the service date (“Baseline Period”) and the twelve (12) months immediately following service completion (“Measurement Period”).
- Your property must not have undergone material changes during the Measurement Period that would affect energy consumption, including but not limited to: additions or renovations, changes in occupancy, replacement or modification of HVAC equipment, significant changes in thermostat settings or usage patterns, or installation of a pool, hot tub, or other high-energy-draw equipment.
1.3 How Savings Are Measured
Energy savings will be calculated by comparing the total heating and cooling costs during the Baseline Period against the total heating and cooling costs during the Measurement Period. Adjustments may be made, at the Company’s reasonable discretion, to account for documented differences in weather severity between the two periods using heating degree day (HDD) and cooling degree day (CDD) data from the nearest National Weather Service reporting station.
Only charges attributable to heating and cooling energy usage will be considered. Fixed service charges, delivery fees, taxes, and non-HVAC electricity usage (where separately metered or reasonably estimated) are excluded from the calculation.
1.4 Remedy
If you meet all eligibility requirements and your verified energy savings fall below twenty percent (20%) after weather normalization, the Company will, at its sole option:
- Perform additional insulation work or air sealing at no additional charge to improve performance; or
- Issue a credit toward future Company services equal to the difference between your actual savings and the guaranteed twenty percent (20%) savings, up to a maximum of the original service contract price.
This remedy is your sole and exclusive remedy under this guarantee. Cash refunds are not available under this guarantee unless required by applicable law.
1.5 Claim Process
To make a claim under this guarantee, you must submit a written request to the Company within ninety (90) days after the end of the Measurement Period, accompanied by copies of all energy bills for both the Baseline Period and the Measurement Period. The Company will review your claim and respond within thirty (30) business days.
2. 1-Year AC Protection Guarantee
2.1 What We Guarantee
We guarantee that your existing air conditioning system will not experience a mechanical failure directly caused by the Company’s insulation installation work within twelve (12) months of service completion.
2.2 What This Guarantee Does NOT Cover
This guarantee is not a warranty on your air conditioning equipment. It does not cover:
- Pre-existing conditions, defects, or wear and tear present before the Company’s service, regardless of whether such conditions were known or discoverable at the time of service.
- Normal wear, aging, or degradation of your AC system, including but not limited to compressor failure, refrigerant leaks, electrical component failure, or fan motor failure unrelated to the Company’s work.
- AC units that are more than fifteen (15) years old at the time of the Company’s service, unless a pre-service HVAC inspection report confirming the unit is in good working order is provided to the Company before service begins.
- Damage caused by lack of maintenance, failure to replace filters, power surges, storms, flooding, vandalism, pest damage, or any cause other than the insulation installation work.
- Any AC system that was not in working condition at the time the Company’s service was performed.
- Systems that have been modified, repaired, or serviced by third parties after the Company’s work in a manner that contributed to the failure.
2.3 Scope of Guarantee
The Company’s marketing materials state that proper insulation reduces strain on your AC system. This guarantee does not promise that your AC system will operate without any issues for one year. It guarantees only that if the Company’s insulation work directly and proximately causes a mechanical failure of your AC system, the Company will provide the remedy described below.
2.4 Remedy
If a qualified, licensed HVAC technician determines in writing that your AC failure was directly caused by the Company’s insulation installation (for example, blocked vents, damaged refrigerant lines, or obstructed airflow caused during installation), the Company will, at its sole option:
- Pay for the reasonable cost of repair to restore the AC unit to its pre-service operating condition, up to a maximum of two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500); or
- Reimburse you for documented, reasonable repair costs up to two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) upon submission of paid invoices from a licensed HVAC contractor.
The Company will not be responsible for AC replacement costs. This remedy is your sole and exclusive remedy under this guarantee.
2.5 Claim Process
To make a claim, you must:
- Notify the Company in writing within fourteen (14) days of discovering the AC issue.
- Provide a written diagnosis from a licensed HVAC technician identifying the cause of the failure.
- Allow the Company or its designated representative to inspect the AC system and the insulation work within a reasonable time.
Failure to follow this process may void the guarantee for the specific claim.
3. White-Glove Cleanup Guarantee
3.1 What We Guarantee
We guarantee that upon completion of the insulation installation, the Company’s crew will leave your property in a clean and orderly condition, substantially similar to its pre-service state. This includes removal of all installation debris, packaging materials, and dust from the work areas, as well as the use of protective covers during the installation process.
3.2 Scope
This guarantee covers the work areas and access paths used during the installation (for example, attic access areas, hallways, and entry points). It does not guarantee that pre-existing conditions such as prior dust accumulation, staining, or damage will be remedied.
3.3 Remedy
If you are not satisfied with the cleanup, you must notify the Company within seventy-two (72) hours of service completion. The Company will return to the property within five (5) business days to perform additional cleanup at no charge. If the Company fails to re-clean to a reasonable standard after one return visit, you may hire a professional cleaning service and submit the invoice (up to three hundred dollars ($300)) for reimbursement.

4.5 Fraud and Misrepresentation
Any guarantee claim that is found to be fraudulent, materially misleading, or based on falsified information will be void. The Company reserves the right to pursue any available legal remedies in such cases.
4.6 Modification
The Company reserves the right to modify these Guarantee Terms at any time. Any modifications will apply only to Services purchased after the effective date of the modification. Guarantees in effect at the time of your service purchase will be honored as written.
4.7 Governing Law and Venue
These Guarantee Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising under these Guarantee Terms shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions of the Company’s Website Terms of Service or your signed service agreement, as applicable.
